The Aquarena outside running group endeavors to help you improve your aerobic fitness and stamina, assist with weight loss and provide a motivating and friendly group environment through exercise.
Facilitated by experienced and good-humored trainers, the running group is suitable for people of all levels. The group completes various tracks and paths throughout Manningham. The sessions consist of a variety of components including long distance running, sprint work, hills, intervals and fartlek work.
The running group is catered to each individual. The aim is to gradually build up people’s stamina through the weekly involvement of the running group. There are 3 levels and each is designed for different capabilities.
The slow group requires you to be able to run for 20 minutes straight at a pace of 8km per hour, the medium group requires 25 minutes at a pace of 10m per hour and the third group is designed for people who can run for 30 minutes at a pace pf 12km per hour.
The running group is free for gold, gold day and aquatic members. A fee applies for non members which is payable at reception. Participants meet at the entrance to Aquarena, just outside of reception 10 minutes prior to starting time.
