Aquarena is now conducting a range of exercise to music classes at selected facilities around Manningham specifically aimed at the needs of older adults and seniors aged 60 years and over.
Currently over 22% of all residents living in the city of Manningham (24,219) are aged over 60 years and data indicates that this segment of the population is only set to increase over the coming years.
To help meet this growing need, Aquarena has selected a range of facilities conveniently located throughout Manningham, where older adults can find it easy to access and participate in exercise classes that are specifically designed to help residents maintain their quality of life and stay vital, independent, healthy and well.
With nearly 20 years experience as the trusted provider of health and fitness programs & services to the people of Manningham, Aquarena’s Pryme Movers classes are delivered by fully qualified, knowledgeable and experienced older adult instructors.
As the specialists in older adult fitness, our classes are safe, fun, low impact, easy to learn, and designed so that each participant can begin slowly and progress at their own rate, regardless of their individual fitness level or physical ability.
Our instructors are skilled, experienced older adult specialists who will provide all of the necessary care and hands on support participants need to exercise safely, whilst importantly still getting the most physical and mental benefit out of every workout.

Pryme Movers class descriptions
All classes under the Pryme Movers banner are for participants aged 60 years and over. The classes are specifically designed in various levels to ensure older adults can achieve and improve their personal fitness goals at their own pace, through low impact cardiovascular exercise, strength and stretching activities.
Pryme Tri
An exciting workout designed to cover all aspects of fitness. Starting with a low impact warm up, moving onto step platforms, then tone the body with hand weights finishing with abdominals and stretching. This class provides a great all round workout.
Pryme Active
This class is for fit, active participants who wish to work on cardiovascular fitness. It incorporates low impact exercises with floor work and a relaxing cool down. Weights may be used in this class.
Pryme Combo
Variety is the spice! This class is for the participant who wants a surprise each week. Our instructor will choose two or three elements from low impact, step, resistance bands, weights, balls, abdominal exercises and stretching. This session gives an overall body workout in both strength training and aerobic fitness.
Pryme Circuit
Circuit classes are a great way to improve strength and muscle tone over the whole body with specialist resistance equipment and exercises in a fun, social, group environment. A warm up, followed by a series of exercise stations, then abdominal work ending with stretching and flexability exercises and cool down.
Pryme Iron Man
Iron Man classes are designed specifically for men to work on strength training of the whole body. The classes are in the form of a circuit workout with weights and a variety of other equipment. Each session finishes up with a stretch and cool down.
Pryme Easy
A class designed for participants who do not wish to do floor work. Includes low impact exercises, chair based flexibility and stretching work. Combined with weights exercises, this class is a great workout for both cardiovascular and strength training.
Pryme Strength
This class is designed to strengthen the whole body with the use of weights and chairs. Weights work is ideal to assist in the prevention of osteoporosis.
Pryme Balance
This specialised class is for those who have balance and strength needs. The session consists of balance work, strength training, flexibility and stretching. There are some chair based exercises.

Entry to classes will be via Membership or Multipass only and paid for at Aquarena Aquatic and Leisure Centre. No payments will be accepted at offsite venues.
Pricing options:
Casual class fees are only accepted for classes at Aquarena. For offsite classes, a Pryme Movers Multi pass is the minimum option required. Memberships include access to even more Aquarena programs and facilities including health club, group exercise, heated pools, spa and steam areas.
