Our goal is to provide an educational program that is based upon the developmental needs, strengths and interests of all children in our care.

Overseen by fully qualified childcare staff, our facility has developed a reputation for providing high quality care and positive development opportunities for young children.

Our childcare centre operates within Children's Services Regulations and is registered to care for up to 29 children per session.

We strive to provide an environment where:
  • Children can play freely within safe limits
  • Children have opportunities to try new experiences, as well as familiar one's indoors and outdoors
  • Children are valued and cared for as individuals, with individual abilities and needs
  • We aim to create a pleasant and fun environment with warm and friendly interactions, open communication and positive guidance between staff and children. Children , staff and parents working together in partnership
  • We welcome and encourage involvement and feedback from parents, guardians and will respect and be responsive to differences in values and expectations of families
  • Each staff member is a valuable resource to our centre. Staff participate in annual skill qualification updates and are provided with opportunities to access further training and professional development.
  • We are committed to confidentiality and professionalism at all times and to facilitate the needs and interests of children and families using the centre
  • We aim to provide an educational program that is based upon the strengths, interests and needs of all children
  • Ongoing evaluation of our policies and program through a process of critical reflection and feedback from children and families.

Enrolment Procedures

An enrolment form must be completed prior to your child's first visit to our childcare facility. The information on this form authorises childcare staff to act in case of emergency and gives the centre important information regarding medical issues, allergies or custody details. An enrolment form is available in PDF format below!

Please notify us of any changes to care arrangements, immunisation or medical details. Your child's safety is our highest concern.

Bookings

Bookings are essential and can be made after 7.30am in person or by phoning the centre. Regulations limit the number of children we can accommodate at any given time to 29. Therefore it is necessary for you to arrive and depart according to the times that have been booked.

Mid week session times are as follows:

9.00am - 10.25am
10.30am - 11.55am
12.00pm - 1.25pm

Members can make a childcare booking 1 week in advance.
Casual users can book 6 days in advance.
A second session on a particular day may be booked 4 days in advance.

Occasional care

Occasional care gives parents the opportunity to leave the centre while their children are cared for in our safe and friendly childcare facility. Go shopping, keep your hair appointment or just enjoy a well-earned break!

General Information:


Safeguarding children and young people

For safety reasons it is necessary to sign your child in/out upon each visit. Government regulations state that you must collect your child/children prior to physically signing them out. A person collecting your child other than yourself must be previously registered on your enrolment form. Where the pick up person is not registered formally in writing by the child's parent or guardian, the child cannot be released.

Aquarena recognises that all children and young people have the right to develop and reach their potential in environments that are caring, nurturing and safe.
